I watched Contiuum which is a show that is based in the year 2077 where they “gave up representation, free speech, and assembly forcing a group to go rouge and form a terrorist organization. They have access to future technology and time travel to avoid escape.
Opinion Section
I believe the show is very interesting and has many characteristics of the TechNoir theme it starts in a futuristic world with giant metal buildings and a very futuristic yet simple background, I haven’t made it too far into the show yet so i’m not sure how much of this world I’m describing that is set in 2077 plays a role but already I’ve seen futuristic technology and the TechNoir aesthetics. Also related to the TechNoir theme, in the show technology has become too advanced and humans have taken a less role in the workings of society. The point i’m at now the main characters are getting adjusted to being in the year 2012 as they time traveled into the pass to escape their arrest accompanied by one of the officers. I’m excited to see where the show goes from here and if the characters are able to prevent the issue of the future by going back in time.
